High Resilience
A resilient subfloor dissipates the energy from the dancer’s movements, then returns it through safe springing energy. This energy helps the dancer jump and leap. The SpringStep IV Plus wood subfloor system has high resiliency.
Lateral Foot Support
Lateral foot support helps dancers stay balanced and disperses energy over a wide surface area. SpringStep IV Plus protects dancers and enhances their stability and safety.
High Energy Absorption
The SpringStep IV Plus system absorbs the shock of the dancer’s active motion, making the flooring more yielding for joint protection.
Specifications
The SpringStep IV Plus dance subfloor is made with prefabricated 2-foot by 2-foot random wafer (oriented strand) board panels that sit on high-density L-shaped foam suspension forms. The hardwood chips are set in a moisture-resistant resin. Each panel weighs 9.4 pounds, and Stagestep includes the shock absorption and wood layers. Any telegraphing that occurs with the SpringStep IV Plus components is not a defect, so it will not impact the wear and performance. Floating subfloors telegraph seams from below.
