Dancestep Plus Flooring
Experience the exceptional versatility and performance of Dancestep Plus, a foam-backed flooring designed for direct placement on concrete. This textured or embossed Marley flooring provides a non-slip surface ideal for ballet pointe work, contemporary, jazz, and all dance forms (except for tap) requiring superior grip. The fiberglass lining enhances stability and ensures the floor lies flat, while its flexible design allows for easy roll-out and roll-up, just like a standard Marley floor. Built to resist wear and tear, Dancestep Plus does not require a floating wood subfloor, making it a convenient and reliable choice for any dance space.

Dancestep Plus is to be unrolled or unraveled so that the exterior surface (dance surfaces) faces up. Never attempt to flip the flooring over. When using semi-permanently or permanently on concrete or cement floor, use a liquid vapor barrier such as Bone Dry Plus to seal the slab. Follow directions accordingly, but typically when a porous floor absorbs Bone Dry Plus within a 15 minute period, recoating is required.
All vinyl flooring must be acclimated for a period of 24 hours at the temperature which will be maintained for the life of the flooring and lie flat prior to installation. Reliance of adhesion to flatten flooring is inadvisable.
Flooring may be loose laid with top tape on the seams and along the perimeter, semi-permanently installed with double-faced tape or ReUseIt with optional top tape depending on the techniques employed, or permanently adhered with a full-spread glue. When using double-faced tape, different practices may apply. 4” double-faced tape can used lengthwise: 1) 3 lengths, down the middle and along the perimeter on the left and right side; 2) 2 strips, along the perimeter on the left and right side, or 3) the left side or the right side, and panel sharing when abutting an adjacent roll. One or two strips of double-faced tape will also be taped spanning the width at the end of the length. When using glue, Dancestep Plus should be installed with a pressure-sensitive adhesive using a “semi-dry” application.
Seam welding is not recommended. All seam welding should be done only by a professional.
Always clean newly installed Marley or vinyl flooring.
Broom sweep or vacuum daily to remove coarse dirt, dust and debris.
Spot clean when necessary to remove scuffs or caustic spills or residue.
Microfiber mops are preferable. Mop clean weekly or as required with ProClean, a neutral detergent-de-greaser using the two-bucket method. One bucket is for the ProClean (2 oz ProClean to a gallon of water). Do not flood mop. The second bucket is for clear water to rinse mop. Wring mop head. Although ProClean is a non-rinse product, it is always better to rinse and remove excess moisture with a towel or clean dry mop.
Do not use alcohol, ammonia, acetone, bleach, or solvents to clean surface. Exposure to sunlight can cause reduced life expectancy due to UV radiation. Change in temperature and humidity can negatively affect installation and non-slip characteristics.
