At Stagestep, we are always inspired by the people and organizations that help shape the dance community. After all, dance is what makes everything we do possible. That’s why we were honored to collaborate with Jacob’s Pillow, one of the world’s most respected dance organizations.
Located in Becket, Massachusetts, Jacob’s Pillow has been a cornerstone of the dance world since 1933. Founded by modern dance pioneer Ted Shawn, the organization began as a retreat and training center for dancers and has grown into America’s longest-running international dance festival. Over the decades, it has welcomed some of the most influential artists, companies, and choreographers in dance history while continuing to serve as a center for performance, education, artistic development, and cultural exchange. In 2003, Jacob’s Pillow became the first and only dance site in the United States to be designated a National Historic Landmark, recognizing its extraordinary impact on the performing arts.
Each year, Jacob’s Pillow brings together dancers, educators, students, choreographers, and audiences from around the world, creating opportunities to learn from one another, celebrate artistic excellence, and explore the future of dance. Its commitment to preserving dance traditions while fostering innovation has made it a beloved institution throughout the global dance community.
Recently, Jacob’s Pillow featured Stagestep in an Instagram Reel showcasing our Portable Ballet Barre in action. The video highlighted the barre’s portability and durability, demonstrating how dancers can create a professional training experience in a variety of settings. Seeing our products used by an organization with such a rich history and commitment to dance education was especially meaningful, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to work with an institution that has been inspiring and supporting dancers for generations.
We extend our sincere thanks to the team at Jacob’s Pillow for including Stagestep in this collaboration. We look forward to continuing to support dancers and organizations that inspire the next generation of artists.
Together, we are helping create spaces where dancers can learn, grow, and perform with confidence.
